The year is off to a great start for Yamaha fans with the details of a new high-end variant of the FZ leaking online. The new Yamaha FZS Deluxe will feature a ton of updates exclusive to this variant.
The leaked document shows that the Yamaha FZS Deluxe will have an LED taillight, colored wheels, two-tone seats, and LED indicators. While the LED taillight is a new addition, the LED turn signals are likely to be from Yamaha’s range of accessories, priced at Rs 1490 per pair.
It is unlikely that any cosmetic or mechanical upgrades will be made to the bike as prices for the base and S trim remain unchanged. The Deluxe variant will be priced at Rs 1,18,900 (ex-Delhi showroom), making it Rs 3,000 more expensive than the S version.
Interestingly, there is no mention of Bluetooth connectivity, something already offered with the S and Vintage Edition. We believe Yamaha will offer it as an optional accessory.
The 149 cc engine of the Yamaha FZ, generating 13.2 hp and 12.8 Nm, is the smallest and one of the least powerful among its competitors: Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R, Suzuki Gixxer and Honda XBlade. . While the FZ has been consistently getting good sales, the bike is in dire need of some substantial updates to keep up with the competition.
