Starfield is Bethesda’s first single game world in a long time, and some images have recently leaked that appear to show an early version.
Many Ancient scrolls Fans are eagerly awaiting the sixth installment in the series, but with Bethesda currently marketing its next sci-fi game. Starfield, the possibility of a post-Skyrim the game seems to be in the background. However, that is not necessarily a bad thing. The new studios IP is among some of the most anticipated video games of 2022, and is likely to become one of the most talked about releases of the year. While not a great deal is known about it, there have been a few images circulating, including these supposed initial construction shots.
According to a recent report, quoting Reddit user Yes1SNo, several screenshots have appeared that appear to show a 2018 build of Starfield. The images were uploaded to Imgur a few days ago and show a couple of exterior assets supposedly from the game, the main one being a gold dome. If it’s legit, it shows what the status of the sci-fi title looked like a few years ago, which probably means they may have completely changed since then. The Reddit user even says that these images are unlikely to represent the final product.
It seems like the fanbase is being trickle-fed here and there, either from the leaks mentioned above or from official content. Last week, Bethesda shared some Starfield Concept art, showing a figure, perhaps the player, in a mysterious cave. Although the game is advertised as science fiction, the cave artwork suggests that players will explore a variety of different environments. There’s not much to do yet, though, but given the developer’s propensity for epic world aesthetics, it’s likely that Starfield You will have some interesting places to see or discover.

As it stands, Bethesda’s new IP will be an Xbox exclusive title, though there will also be a PC port. This is most likely due to Microsoft’s acquisition of Zenimax, the parent company of the Maryland-based study. This also means that PlayStation owners are unlikely to be able to play the sci-fi RPG, which will undoubtedly annoy some people.
Starfield was announced in 2018 at the E3 convention, and the game will launch in November. Speculation about a new intellectual property had been circulating for some time prior to this, so it has likely been in the works for several years at this time. Given that, it’s important to reiterate that even if the leaked images from the first few screenshots are legitimate, they are unlikely to be indicative of the final version, exciting as they may be.
Starfield launches November 11, 2022 for PC and Xbox Series X.
