Kanpur: Auraiya Dibiyapur Police and Special Operations Group participated in the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) investigation – the 2021 questionnaire paper leak case made a breakthrough with the arrest of 11 members of the solver’s gang on Monday.
On Monday, SP Abhishek Verma informed reporters that the SOG and the Dibiyapur police team arrested 11 members, including the boss of the solver gang Pawan Porwal. Four laptops, two desktop computers, a CPU, an ATM, 20 fake Aadhar cards, two OMR sheets, two fake admission cards and other items were recovered.
During questioning, the defendant disclosed that Pawan Porwal of Noida runs a marketing company by the name of Digital India and that he has also run the gang for three years. He, along with his assistants Himanshu Kumar, Brijendra Kumar, Shubham Singh from Dibiyapur and Ashwini Kumar, Shivam, Veeru, Amit Rathore, along with the candidates, used to organize the solvers after making a deal for Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh rupees .
One of Hardoi’s Gautam defendants said he was doing it and had appeared in many exams as a solver. “One of the defendants, Gautam de Hardoi, used to charge Rs 50,000 to one lakh to appear in an exam as a solver. Satish used to make fake Aadhar cards in his business card shop, ”the official said. Similarly, another defendant Akshay used to transform photos of the solver and candidate in his photo studio, he said. The SP said that between Rs 40-50 lakh transactions have been carried out in recent years, which came to light from the gang members’ mobile and bank account details. ADG Zone Bhanu Bhaskar awarded the police team Rs 50,000 for this achievement.
